Quantifying the Effects of Vibration on Medicines in Transit Caused by Fixed-Wing and Multi-Copter Drones

The concept of transporting medical products by drone is gaining a lot interest amongst the and logistics communities. Such innovation has generated several questions, key one being potential effects flight on stability products. aims this study were to quantify vibration present within flight, its effect quality insulin through live trials, compare from with traditional road transport. Three trials took place in which ampoules mock blood stocks transported site flown using industry standard packaging fixed-wing or multi-copter drone. Triaxial measurements acquired, both in-flight during transit, overall levels frequency spectra derived. British Pharmacopeia tests undertaken UV samples compared controls known turbidity.
